Leur Histoire

Gaston Chiquet is one of the oldest récoltant-manipulants in Champagne — growers since 1746, now in their seventh generation. Their Premier Cru vineyards sit in the Vallée de la Marne, a terroir traditionally dominated by Pinot Meunier but with remarkable Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Chiquet plots.

Héritage & Terroir

The Chiquet style is defined by time: extended lees ageing — 5 years on the non-vintage, and equivalent on the vintages — gives their champagnes a depth and complexity that belies their price. Their unique Blanc de Blancs from Aÿ (normally a Pinot Noir village) is a historic anomaly and one of their most celebrated wines.

Philosophie

No shortcuts. Long lees ageing, minimal intervention, and seven generations of knowledge about exactly what this specific land can produce.
